Testimony
Have any of you ever been asked to give your testimony in church or to a group? If so, I’d be happy to hear any details you might be willing to share. I have shared news about Jesus and my life with many people, but never really “on command” or in a large group setting, and I’m preparing for that. I have lots of thoughts on sharing my testimony but they are rather hard to spell out…I’ve been typing and deleting this for maybe 10 minutes already, so I’ll just leave this much and see if there are thoughts.

Depends on what you want to talk about. When we were in a Home Improvement Sunday School class we talked about our divorce and remarriage because the topic at that time was how to have a good marriage. Keep it simple, use a few verses that relate to your testimony and you will be just fine.
I’ve shared a few times. Just praying for God to bring to mind the parts of my story that others will connect with is the very first thing I do. I like this basic outline: my life Before God, how I came to know Christ, what he has done in my life. I like to end with my life verse.
I’ve never done anything like that before, but I would say you just have to speak from the heart and say things exactly like you see and feel them. Of course everyone will be very friendly, understanding, and interested in what you will say, so it helps having an appreciative and friendly audience. I’m sure you’ll find out some great ways to deliver the testimony and it will be received very well. Take care and have a wonderful week, bye for now.
