Whew!!!!
Football season is OVER!!!! My son and I just got home from turning in all of his football gear, and now all that is left is the team party on Saturday. The part is 4 hours long, which seems a little excessive to me, but I'm no expert, so we'll just go with the flow.
It has been nice and cool here today and ended up sprinkling a little bit towards the end of the day, which was wonderful!
It is a relief to have some free time in the evenings now. This is our first week of freedom from football practice, so I'm still getting back into the groove of things. For example, it is 6:00pm right now and I can't think what all I'd like to do first! I have become so used to getting home just in time to get to bed that I'm just not used to it! I have a new recipe for the week waiting to be made, so I think I'll do that. It is a crockpot recipe though, so not sure if that is such a good idea-if I were to accidentally forget it, it might be a little bit....dehydrated by the time I woke up. Hmmm.

Wow long party for the kids ! I'm sure your son had so much fun throughout the football season, but it will be nice for you that it's over to have more time to focus on other things. It will be interesting to see whether your son will be interested in doing football next year, or another sport. I think I might take all of the rain for granted in Vancouver, because some of the cities I've been to in Mexico are soooo dry and they really don't get enough water. It must have been nice to have a cooler day and enjoy seeing a bit of rain.
It will take you a while to get used to your new found time, though I'm sure you'll find out exactly what to do in that hour. Lots of delicious food as well, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Take care and have a fantastic weekend, bye for now.

Congratulations on having free time. When I was studying for insurance courses, the final exam would be at the beginning of November and at the beginning of April. How I waited for the freedom to just read books for the fun of it instead of fretting over the insurance courses and studying all the time after working all week. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
That is a long party! Wish we had warm weather. Winter here and 46 now. Last two nights it was in the 20s when I went to work!
