I had the day off work today....that was SO nice! My friend/coworker had dental work done and she wasn't able to drive herself to or from the appointment, and then she needed help today with her face and also taking care of her little boy. So I helped her last night with the dental trip, and then kept her son all night and all day today. I returned him to her this evening and hopefully she does ok throughout the night. I feel really bad for her= she had to get dentures on the top teeth, and she had to have 8 teeth pulled. During that process they perforated her sinus, so now she has to deal with that on top of everything else. It was quite a mess. The procedure was supposed to take an hour and it took 3 hours. Poor thing.
Tomorrow night we are going to a baseball game with a big group from church. I think there are 35 of us. My son and I are meeting up at my boyfriend (let's just call him "J" from now on, to make it easier)'s house, and then we will ride to the church from there and then we are all going to take the church bus. I have never been on the church bus before, so, dorkily enough, I'm actually excited about that. I'm sure the baseball game will be fine...there is always plenty of people watching to do. Then there is some sort of concert that immediately follows the game, and I'm pretty happy about that too.
Saturday we are all three going north to a different town to be guests at a wedding for some people who I don't know. They are kind of indirectly friends of J, and so he was invited, and then we were invited by association. It will be fun though, because my pastor and his wife are also going and I really like them a lot. I am becoming good friend with the wife=she is so funny, and very nice.
I put down recently that I was reading a book called Chop Chop, by someone with the last name of Cronk. I would totally recommend that book! It was SO good! Not what I expected at all.
Currently I am reading a book called Waking Up Married. I am only on the first chapter, so we'll see how it goes
*Note-WOW. I just searched for it so I could put the link here on my site, and the cover looks like absolute smut! I downloaded it on my kindle, so I couldn't see the cover. Yikes*

So don't just that book by it's cover? =P
It's very kind that you're helping your friend out. Dental procedures always seem to come with unpleasant recovery processes!
Wow that would be a very harsh trip to the dentist for everyone. The toughest times I've had at the dentist were when I had my wisdom teeth removed and braces put on... they were both painful experiences ! I am sure your friend really appreciated all of the help you gave her and it definitely made things at least a little easier for her. It will be a fun even to go with people from your church and enjoy a baseball game and concert. It's great they do events like that which brings everyone together and gets everyone to have a good time.
I am sure you'll have a great time at the wedding as well and get to know some very nice new people. It's great that you are always reading so much. You can pick up a lot that way and gain so many new perspectives on things. Take care and have a fantastic weekend, bye for now.

Have a great time on your trip this weekend:) I'm excited to hear more about 'J' as time goes on:) although knowing you, the tidbits we get will be very sparse and few between lol... That's ok, privacy is a GOOD thing:) ( I do like to tease ya:)) That's nasty about the sinus perforation - I've heard of that before. Awful:( I hope your friend heals quickly and there aren't any more complications
Good that you could help her out like that. I have been on church buses a lot and it's an experience.
Hope you enjoy the game.
Details on my site.
My hubby Larry is in the hospital.
*That should read "judge" not "just"!
Thanks for stopping by. We are hoping he gets discharged after lunch today. Charlie, Elita's dog, has been missing him too and giving us funny looks, because he is used to Larry stopping by between jobs to let him out.
It's been an interesting few days, for sure.
By now all the events are over. I hope you had a great time. Sounds like things are going well for you.
