Whew!
The past two weeks seem like such a whirlwind! My head may be spinning around in a full circle for all I know!
Lots of things have happened-some exciting, some sad, etc.
Sad first: a very close family friend, so close that we have always just considered him family, passed away completely unexpectedly. Two weekends ago I went for a weekend trip to New Mexico, to see my parents. The family friends also met us up there so we had a really great weekend. All the kids and grandkids were there with my parents... all except my sister's husband because he had to work. We spent a lot of good time together, and it was great. Then we all went home and two days later he died of a heart attack at his home. It was such a shock because he had been such a healthy guy up until this. That was terribly sad, and resulted in another flying trip out of town for his memorial service. It was just heartbreaking. My dad is not a public speaker and he spoke for this man, and it was such an awesome thing, and so touching.
Happy: I have the greatest new boyfriend. We have been an "official" item for three weeks or so, and we had been kinda sorta seeing each other a little bit here and there for quite awhile. He is the guy from my church-I've mentioned him here before. There was concern because my friend from church, who is also a coworker, had a huge crush on him. That was a bit of an issue, and I guess in a way it still is, but she is coming around to the idea, and he and I are so happy and it is a really good fit. I have much more to say on that topic, but I'll leave it for now because I want to get around and catch up with your blogs.

Blessings as you cope with the loss of the long time friend. How sweet of your dad to speak at the funeral.
Sorry about your friend
Glad to see there are happy things in your life too right now!
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It's never easy when such a special person passes away, but it's even more difficult when they pass away so young and so healthy. Of course we all should do our best to live healthy life styles as it does lower the risks of certain things happen, but as in the case of your friend, sometimes unfortunate tragedies just happen. So it goes to show that everyone has to truly enjoy their life and live it to the fullest each day, and truly appreciate the special ones in their lives, because no one truly knows when their time will come to move on.
That's great news to read about the boyfriend. It sounds like you've found someone that you are very comfortable with and where you can just be you and be happy. Hopefully your friend is understanding of the situation and happy for the both of you as well. I'm sure as time goes on you will get closer and know each other more and more and everything will be just fine ! Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend, bye for now.

I'm happy you have a new boyfriend...I hope the relationship continues to be just what you wanted.
I'm sorry about your friend's sudden passing ~ but wasn't it great that you got to spend a wonderful time with him just before he passed. We had a similar experience. One of our neighbors in the RV park in Florida had a sudden massive heart attack the night before we were to return from a cruise. We were devastated to say the least and so sorry for his dear wife.
Sorry to hear about your friend dying. There is no way to prepare when they go unexpectedly.
Hope the new boyfriend continues to work for you.
That is sad about the unexpected death. Makes the time spent with him even more precious.
