Utensils
Do you have dividers in your utensil drawers? I do...I have one for my eating utensils...it separates forks, knives, spoons, and then little spoons. I think those are all the slots. I remember that growing up, my mom had a divider in hers, but my ex husband's mom didn't, she just tossed everything into a drawer and people just dug through to find what they wanted. I use mine, but lately I got impatient with the putting away process, and I did just turn the utensil holder from the dishwasher upside on top of the divider and things just went where they went. It has been about a week since that happened, so I've used up enough forks and things that mostly it is all where it needs to go again, but it just made me wonder how other people do it.

I have to divide stuff up. There's 2 different size forks, butter knives, steak knives, 3 different size spoons... and we have like 8-12 of each! I'd get frustrated digging around for what I want if there was only one clean.
I have a brown one I got from Dollar Tree about 4 or 5 years ago. In the 19 years we have been here they usually last about that long so I am due to get a new one, maybe before the year is out. It makes it easier when doing dishes to have them separated.
In my family we always had the dividers for the cutlery in the drawers. Not only is it a much more organized way of doing things, it's much more hygienic as well. Just imagine all the people with their fingers digging through the drawer grabbing what they need if it's all a big mess ! Given a choice between the two methods I really can't understand who would actually prefer living without the divider. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend, bye for now.

Yea, we have dividers. I have gotten so I put the silverware in the dishwasher with forks together, knives together, etc. Makes it so much easier to put things away.
Yep, I use dividers, and, like the comment above, we separate the forks, spoons, etc, as we put them in the dishwasher. Does make the putting away so much easier and not much more time when you load the dirty. I think it would drive my slight OCD crazy not to use the dividers in the drawer, lol!
We have dividers....I prefer that so I know where things are......haven't resorted to putting all the same utensils in the dishwasher together...seems like they won't get as clean if all the spoons are ...well...spooning....and all the fork tines are together....1/2 the year in Florida I don't have a dishwasher anyway.
