I am in such a weird mood today. I had a weird weekend, which I suppose sort of snowballed mentally until today rolled around, and now I'm kind of in a bit of a funk. I wish that something awesomely exciting would happen-something unexpected. Does it ever seem to you that people you encounter on a daily basis are just so amazingly predictable in their behavior patterns that it is just unbelievable? Sometimes I feel that way- and I kind of get a little bummed about it. Sometimes I have a feeling like I just wish something or someone new and totally unexpected and happy would just enter the scene to change things up a bit. I added the "happy" to that last sentence, because if I'm living in my own little dreamland...then who wants to have a new and unexpected illness or something sad like that? So I added the happy strictly for clarification purposes.

This weekend I helped my parents move. They are relocating again for another job. I won't go into the details, but to sum up: they are such lost and unhappy people. They don't get along, so in a lot of ways, I think they'd be happier apart from each other. At the same time, they (especially my dad) have this weird codependency on each other. They drink too much and that only contributes to their problems. Without going in to some long and terribly drawn out stories, it is hard to describe really very adequately, but they are unhappy and it is obvious and it makes my heart sad for them. I wish there was something I could do for them. I help where I can, but I don't have what they need.
That, combined with some expensive car issues, turned this weekend into a bit of a bust. I suppose those two things combined have me in an upset, but it left me in the mood and with the feelings referred to in paragraph #1.
I hope that you all had a very happy Thanksgiving, and spent good time with friends and loved ones!

Nice to meet you! Sending "happy change" thoughts your way. Sometimes, it's easy to get stuck in the routine of life, where it feels like nothing ever changes. It does, of course, but sometimes slowly. Sorry about your parents, Do/did they live close to you?
Hope the new move and new job work out for them.
There are so many out of work. I am glad I have a job but am still looking for one with every other weekend off or no weekends as working every one is burning me out but you have to do what you have to do to pay bills, unlike some of these other people still eager to get the Obama handouts.
Hope you are in a better mood by the time you read this.
Sometimes having the normal, everyday stuff that is so routine is better than change. But wanting Happy with change is a great wish. Good luck to your parents....sounds like they have gotten so used to "more of the same" that they won't ever change.
RYC: Yes, I expect the Florida room is the same as the Arizona. Ours has real windows and insulation so we can use it all year around (if we were here)..Lots of windows. a long space with a sleeper couch, plenty of room for a computer desk, chair, tv, etc.
The tiramisu he had and I tasted was very mild as far as the coffee flavor. I don't like coffee at all. This dessert had a lot of the cheese and sweet flavoring....We are going to try tiramisu on the next cruise we are going on in February to see how it measures up. The manager at RUBY TUESDAYS told us she travels all over to test the recipes and was very proud of this dessert...as she should be.
I can definitely see where you are going with how you are feeling. I've been here in this city in Mexico for a month now and while some days I meet friends and so some things, a lot of time I'm by myself, and really it gets pretty boring. So I too could use something unexpected and exciting happening ! That was very nice of you to help your parents with their move. Moving can be stressful and so much work, so to have the extra help really can make a huge difference.
It's unfortunate the situation your parents are in. While you could always try talking to them about things, ultimately they are adults and they know each other the best. They will have to realize that they can continue on the path they are heading down, or they could collaborate and make some great decisions that could have positive effects on their lives and really make them both so much happier. Hopefully they can work out something to really help themselves out.
Cars can cause a lot of issues too. Now that you've got things fixed hopefully you won't have to put any more dollars into that car for a long time ! I'm sure your next few days will be a lot better and by the time the weekend arrives you'll be feeling great. I love frappuichinos so much ! I suppose its because I really dislike hot coffee, and I don't drink alcohol at all, so they are my treat ! I wish you all the best with everything. Take care and have a wonderful weekend, bye for now.
Kyle
