  • Sunday!

This morning our Bible study class was centered around the fact that we should not try to rush ahead in God's plan for our life.  Sometimes we get impatient so we think that we can maybe arrange something to happen even when we know that it isn't exactly what we are supposed to be doing, and it just isn't right.  We need to do what we are led by God to do, and do things in His time, not ours.  One of the stories used as an example was the story of Abraham and Sarah and their having children at older ages, and the situation with her servant Hagar. It was a good lesson.

I was in the nursery during church service.  There was only one baby.  He was super fussy. He is only about 5 weeks old and I think he is being overfed.  His mom said he is always fussy and crying.  From what I observed, it seems like they are putting too much food into his little tiny tummy.  He finally settled down about 10 minutes before service was over and slept peacefully until his mom picked him up from me, at which point he started screaming his little head off again.  whatevah

After church my friend, her son, my son, and myself all took a drive up north of town to a park.  This park has a splash pad, a little train that goes around the park, and a giant playground area.  We stayed a couple of hours.  We could have stayed longer but my son wasn't into it.  He just kept saying he wanted to come home.  I felt bad about that, because I didn't want to spoil the fun of my friend and her son-but I could tell he was tired.  He had a long day on Saturday and I think he is just pretty much worn out and needed some time at home to recover.  We ended up getting home about 4:30 or so, and we've just been relaxing ever since.

I finished a book called Mango Bob a few days ago.  That is one strange little book.  It really isn't anything like the cover description would lead you to believe, and I felt more like it was an RV driving manual than a story book.  Strange.

  • I have fallen into that category in my earlier years and thank God we get 2nd chances just like they did! It's a good lesson for every generation and still applicable today.
Our water parks are closed. I always feel a little sad when they close them because I know winter is coming. :( Today is only 51 so far and breezy. Off today and tomorrow so I need to get ready and take Charlie for his 1 mile walk while we still have good weather.

  • I'm glad your son got some down time and could relax.  Sometimes that is all we need.  Maybe the baby has colic.....hope it works out soon.

  • It sounds like they were talking about a very important lesson. Some people are in just too much of a hurry to make something happen, and most of the times that's just not possible. And I think in general, the world would be a lot less stressful and problematic if we all had just a little bit more patience. I think a lot of people just don't know how to deal with babies, and a lot of parents probably need to read up a little more. Of course it's impossible to be a perfect parent, but I think those people who at least do some reading will be somewhat more prepared.

going to the park must have been a lot of fun. I'm sure was enjoying himself even though he was super tired. The good thing about books is you never know exactly how the story will go until you've read one all through. Take care and have a wonderful start to the week, bye for now.

    Kyle
