Church was a bit amusing today. The guy who wanted to date me and was a little bit creepy as far as showing up at my work and things like that....well, he got a new girlfriend! He picked her up off of an online dating site, and today he brought her to church. It was great fun to watch people watch them. Everyone was surprised because although I happen to know he has been dating her for four weeks, he hasn't mentioned a word of that to anyone, and lots of people still knew him to be trailing along after me, so this was a bit shocking for some people. He brought her to Bible study class as well as service. She was fine, of course she was quiet because she didn't really know anyone. I had to almost vomit into my purse a couple times when he would speak to the class and she would gaze at him with that big starry-eyed look of adoration. It was funny. Of course, there was a lot of furtive handholding beneath the table, and that kind of thing. Either way, I told another friend later that this was the most relaxing church service I've been to in months because he was occupied with that and didn't really spend lots of his time talking to me. It was nice.
Last night my son had a birthday sleepover at his friend's house. It is actually the handsome soldier's house, and his son. Anyway, I dropped him off yesterday around 3, then picked him up at 8:30 this morning. Of course all the kids stayed up way too late playing and watching videos so he has been something of a moody disaster today, but I'm glad he had fun!
After church I went to lunch with a friend and her kids. That was fun, but kind of got cut short because her son needed a ride to a friend's house. After that my son and I came home. I took a short nap and he has been playing his video game ever since. For some reason I am HOT! The air conditioner is on, but it just seems so hot in here.

Good thing there is someone for everyone. lol
It's really interesting how someone views someone else compared to how we view them. He obviously wasn't the type of guy you wanted to be with, yet he seems to be pretty happy with another girl now. It just goes to show that no one can please everyone and we will all feel different connections with different people. Someone who is absolutely amazing to someone else, may be completely boring or creepy to another person. Of course it doesn't sound so nice to write it like that, but that is just how things are in the world.
I think it's great for you as now this guy has his attention elsewhere and that gives you peace knowing he won't be continuing to pursue you when obviously you were not interested. I used to have lots of sleepovers when I was a kid and I remember there was always lots of pizza to eat and tons of video games to play so they were such fun nights. I never stayed up all night, but there were some days I was incredibly tired !
Sounds like you like this solider guy. It would be fun if you had a chance to go out for lunch or something, well unless he's married or has gf ! Hopefully you can relax and cool down. I find the AC isn't so cold for a while, but after sitting in a room with AC for an extended period of time it can actually be shut down for a while. Sounds like your part of the world went very well this weekend. Glad you were able to enjoy yourself at church, bible study and with your friends.
I wonder what they were thinking? Hope it works out for him.
We have chilly temps here now and I miss summer.
