I took yesterday and today off work because I had some vacation days that were going to expire if I didn't use them up. Yesterday I went and visited with an old friend who just recently had a baby. They also have a 2 year old, and I love that kid. I had lunch with them (she made taco salads) and visited for a couple hours. It was nice!
Today I went and had an early morning breakfast with the handsome soldier before he had to go to work. We went to Cracker Barrel. I love that place-I had oatmeal. He had one of those meals with practically everything on the menu. He works hard so he eats a lot and burns it all off. That was fun.
I entered a work order to have someone come and take a look at my dishwasher. It is not draining properly and it smells like death when the door gets opened up. It would be nice if they would replace the unit because it sounds like Niagara Falls in here when I turn it on, but even if they just repair the drain then that is good too.
It rained here last night and this morning, which was absolutely wonderful. I wish it would keep it up, but it kind of looks like the clouds are beginning to clear up now. It was nice while it lasted, though!!!!

It's absolutely poured here for the last two days. It's still coming down as I type and I don't really mind either. =) Your breakfast date sounds nice. I could go for some Cracker Barrel this morning!
Happy Belated Birthday. Re: the dishwasher. I recently cleaned mine. If you have any screens or filters you can unscrew...do it and clean that out. Also pour about a cup of white vinegar in the dispenser and the remainder on the floor of the dishwasher and use the hot cycle. It will make it smell much better. (you can buy a cleaning grade of white vinegar at WalMart for less than $4 a gallon. You can clean almost anything with it. You can mix 1/4 cup of blue Dawn detergent to a cup of white vinegar and clean your tub/shower,sinks etc every week too.) Hope you get it repaired ok....

Wow you are a super hard worker to actually literally be having to be told to take your vacation days. It sounds like you took full advantage of your time off and had great times with your friend so that's good to know. I love those big breakfasts that come with eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, sausages or bacon and whatever else. I'm always super full after having them but they are always delicious. I try not to eat as much as I used to, but I do run regularly and exercise a lot so I don't really worry too much. Ultimately as long as people are staying active they should be able to enjoy great meals without feeling guilty.
I wish all of the rain that comes down here throughout the year could be lent to some other places. We get way too much, and while it keeps everything super green throughout the year, most people would wish for a little more sun. Hopefully you get your dishwasher fixed super soon, they are so convenient to have ! Anyways take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend, bye for now.
